Chuck “Whitt” Whittington

Senior Vice President, Business Transformation

Chuck is the Senior Vice President, Business Transformation for Pactiv Evergreen. In this role, he is responsible for driving the governance, structure and momentum of our Key Strategic Initiatives: People, Operational Excellence, Digital Transformation, Social Responsibility and Profitable Growth. Chuck also leads our Pactiv Evergreen Project Management Office (PMO) as well as the Integration Management Office (IMO).  

Chuck joined Pactiv Evergreen in 1992 as a Sales Representative.  Chuck has more than 30 years of experience as a business leader in the food packaging industry. His experience includes sales, marketing, and business leadership roles at the national level. Most recently, Chuck served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the company.

Chuck served our country for more than 32 years as a member of the Unites States Army, most recently as the Deputy Director of the Army National Guard, headquartered in Washington D.C. A retired Major General, Chuck also served as Deputy Commander, US First Army; Commander, 29th Infantry Division; Deputy Commander, 29th Infantry Division (Afghanistan); and Commander, 58th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.  During his time in service, Chuck deployed in support of multiple operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan. 

Chuck is the proud father of two: his daughter is a UIC graduate and real estate broker in Chicago and his son is a UK graduate and Blackhawk helicopter pilot for the U.S. Army. Chuck enjoys spending time with his wife watching sports and fishing with his beloved dog by his side. Chuck also serves as a volunteer for a number of national veterans’ organizations and as a Board member for the Catch-A-Lift Foundation, a non-profit group that serves our veterans through holistic fitness strategy. 

Chuck earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Economy from The University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College.
